21st Primary School of Lamia, Greece - December activities
We had a wonderful online meeting with our partners from Spain, the Canary Islands, and Keratsini, Greece, within our eTwinning project “Little European Citizens.”
This meeting offered our students a valuable opportunity to:
- communicate in a real, meaningful European context
- develop digital and communication skills
- become familiar with different languages and cultures
- build confidence by sharing songs and wishes with an international audience
- experience cooperation, respect, and European citizenship in action
Our students proudly sang Christmas carols in their mother tongue and exchanged warm Christmas wishes, creating a joyful atmosphere of unity and mutual understanding. 🎄🎶
Such activities help our students understand that, despite our differences, we share common values and can learn and grow together as European citizens.
Thank you to all partner teachers and students for this inspiring collaboration! ✨
Through our shared Padlet, students from all partner schools had the opportunity to present Christmas customs and traditions from their own countries. They also explored their partners’ posts, read about different cultural practices, and exchanged comments.
The purpose and target of this activity is to promote cultural awareness and respect for diversity. It also encourages active participation and collaboration among partner schools. It develops digital literacy through the use of collaborative online tools.
The students gained knowledge about different European Christmas traditions and they developed intercultural understanding and open-mindedness. To do so they practiced reading, writing, and commenting skills. They also learned to express their ideas respectfully and interact positively with peers from other countries.
